In recent years, trailer production in Türkiye has been undergoing a significant transformation in terms of structural safety, material technologies, certification processes and production capacity. In particular, the tendency toward compliance with international standards — led by EN 12642-XL — in the areas of load securing and superstructure durability has increased markedly.

Vehicle superstructure equipment (VSE) production in Türkiye continues to develop as an important sub-branch of the automotive industry through superstructure equipment for bodies, trailers, tankers, fire-fighting vehicles, and other special-purpose superstructures. The manufacture of bodies and trailers for motor vehicles is defined under code 29.20 within the NACE Rev.2 international classification system and is also monitored in Türkiye under this code.
